Looking for a nutritious and tasty snack? Packed full of oats, sunflower seeds, and dried fruits, the nut-free muesli bars provide the perfect balance between health and flavor.
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup dried fruits (strawberries, cranberries, blueberries, and goji berries)
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
-
To begin, in a large bowl, mix together rolled oats, dried fruits, and sunflower seeds. Keep aside.
-
Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper. I have used an 8″x8″ square dish.
-
Melt butter, honey, and sugar in a pan over medium heat. Add in vanilla essence. Simmer for 1-2 minutes,
-
Pour this mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
-
Now, spread this mixture into the greased/lined dish. Flatten and press it down firmly with a spatula to ensure the bars stick together.
-
Refrigerate for 2-3 hours until set. Remove from the dish and slice it into bars.
-
The nut-free muesli bars are ready to enjoy.
- My kitchen is a nut-free kitchen. If you want to add nuts to the muesli bars, reduce the quantity of the other ingredients accordingly. The mixture should amount to two cups.
