“We Certainly Are Not Resting Whatsoever”

The legendary Saint Vitus venue in Brooklyn, NY was shut down by the New York City Department Of Buildings (DOB) in the middle of a Mindforce show on February 16. The DOB issued numerous citations to the venue to be resolved, while Saint Vitus themselves have noted that the closure is only temporary.

Now in a new post, Saint Vitus is reminding fans that all shows previously scheduled for the venue are now being moved to new venues (which you can find on their Instagram). And to everyone posting Rest In Peace to the venue, hold the fuck on – Vitus ain’t dead.

“On Friday February 16^th in the middle of a scheduled show, the DOB shut down all operations at Saint Vitus,” wrote the venue. “We appreciate all the love + support right now, but to the RIP Saint Vitus posts…we certainly are not resting whatsoever.

“The closure is temporary, and we’ll let you know when we have more to share with you. For now, Vitus Presents is in full swing! Check out the shows that we’ve moved to our friends’ venues, show up for live music, and support us by purchasing advance tickets.”
