PALLBEARER Announces New Album, Unveils Tour With RWAKE, REZN, INTER ARMA & THE KEENING

Pallbearer is now streaming their dark-as-hell new single “Where The Light Fades” from their upcoming record Mind Burns Alive, due out May 17. The single comes alongside a video directed by Dan Almasy, adding to the overall darkness of the track.

Pallbearer vocalist and guitarist Brett Campbell describes the tracks found on Mind Burns Alive as “vignettes that tell the stories of people who deal with myriad sicknesses of the spirit… illnesses communicated by the world we live in, and the subjects are the symptoms of the disease.”

He continued: “These songs are a deeper exploration of dynamics and sonic color than anything we have done up to this point. I’m of the belief that true heaviness comes from emotional weight, and sometimes sheer bludgeoning isn’t the right approach to getting a feeling across.”

Mind Burns Alive was self-produced in Pallbearer‘s newly constructed studio, Idlewild Audio, and at Fellowship Hall Sound. Reflecting on this, Pallbearer bassist and vocalist Joseph D. Rowland remarked: “It’s ironic given that the album is largely centered around isolation, but it felt like it summoned us into being back together again in one town, after so long apart.”

Mind Burns Alive is available for pre-order here. In addition, Pallbearer has also announced a massive tour featuring The Keening, Rwake, REZN, and Inter Arma. Get your tickets here.
