AC/DC Streams Rare 1976 Performance Of “Jailbreak”

AC/DC is now streaming their performance of “Jailbreak” originally filmed at the Wimbledon Theatre in London, England on July 13, 1976 for the Super Pop – Rollin’ Bolan show. The performance features AC/DC‘s classic lineup of Bon Scott on vcoals, Angus and Malcolm Young on guitars, Mark Evans on bass, and Phil Rudd on drums and was one of three songs played for the show.

“Not aired in 40 years, check out this promo clip of the band performing ‘Jailbreak’, shot in London in July 1976, remastered in HD!” wrote AC/DC of the clip.

AC/DC in 2024 is currently vocalist Brian Johnson, guitarists Angus and Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug in place of Phil Rudd as it was during the Power Trip festival, and bassist Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction, Alanis Morissette) in place of Cliff Williams.

On the tour and lineup change, AC/DC simply said: “We are thrilled to finally announce the ‘Power Up’ European Tour. Angus, Brian, Stevie, and Matt will be joined by Chris Chaney to carry the torch for Cliff. The tour will see us play shows across Germany, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, England, Slovakia, Belgium, France & Ireland this Summer. We can’t wait to see you all out there.”
