Foo Fighters played the Villa Park stadium in Birmingham on June 27, which as we all know is where Black Sabbath is from. Foo Fighters covered Black Sabbath‘s classic track “Paranoid” and were joined by none other than one of the icons themselves, Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler.
“He’s never seen a concert here,” said Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl while introducing Butler. “He’s never played a concert here. So we thought, something special for us and hopefully it’s special for him too, we’d invite him out to come play a song with us. Ladies and gentleman, Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath.”
He continued: “Let me just say it one more time: Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath! So, why not? Let’s do a song with Geezer?”
