When officers got there, they found a 71-year-old man lying on the pavement suffering from a serious head injury and he taken to the hospital, police said.

Police said witnesses told them they saw a black vehicle collide with a bicycle in the intersection and the car looked to be a newer model black Nissan Rouge with veteran’s plates.

The vehicle did not stop and continued to drive on Central Street, police said.
