Roy Mayorga is trading in his time with industrial metal titans Ministry to join Alice In Chains vocalist and guitarist Jerry Cantrell on his upcoming summer tour.
In a statement, Mayorga wrote: “Super excited to announce that I’ll be hitting the road this Summer with Jerry Cantrell supporting Bush for their ‘Loaded greatest hits’ tour. Which means I’ll be taking break from ‘MINISTRY‘ for a while, but I shall return at some point. Look forward to rocking out with you all Summer.”
“At some point” is an interesting piece of Mayorga‘s statement considering Ministry is currently in the studio recording their final studio output, and is plotting the end of their career. So opportunities to rejoin Ministry aren’t exactly abundant, it seems.
