BEHEMOTH Drummer INFERNO To Sit Out 2024 European Tour, JON RICE To Fill In Again

Behemoth will kick off their summer European tour on July 11 without drummer Inferno, who’s staying home due to health reasons. Filling in for Inferno is once again Jon Rice (Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, ex-Job For A Cowboy), who has intermittently filled in with Behemoth live between 2017 and 2022.

“With the deepest regret in our hearts I must inform you that due to health issues Inferno was forced to stay home and take care of his well being and we are enforced by Jon Rice on drums!” wrote Behemoth frontman Nergal. “Please wish Godspeed recovery to Inferno and cross fingers for Jon to outdo himself and make us sound as powerful as possible!”

Behemoth is celebrating 33 years as a band this summer with the tour, fetauring a handful of festival stops alongside shows with bands like Testament, Gaerea, Pestilence, and more!

“Wow! What a summer we have planned!” wrote Nergal at the time. “We cannot wait to get back out into Europe, and celebrate our 33 years of Behemoth. There will be surprises and spoils galore!”

Why celebrate 33 years? Simple – Behemoth has officially outlived their best friend Jesus Christ. Check out the full list of dates below and get your tickets here.
