Been a while since you’ve seen a child prodigy absolutely shredding on an instrument you’ve spent the last 30 years of your life trying to master? 10-year-old Maya Neelakantan has you covered in that department—just check out this insane video of her playing a condensed version of “Master of Puppets” during the America’s Got Talent quarterfinals earlier this week.
The judges heaped praise on her, pointing out that she put together such a unique version of the Metallica song by mixing in new approaches to the tried-and-true classic.
Neelakantan has previously captured the attention of the metal community online with her guitar covers. She finds out if she advances to the next round of America’s Got Talent later tonight, August 28.
