VITRIOL Bassist & Co-Founder Quits Mid-Tour, Band To Continue As A Two Piece

Vitriol is down to a two-piece midway through their tour with Goatwhore.

According to guitarist and vocalist Kyle Rasmussen, co-founding bassist and vocalist Adam Roethlisberger has quit the band after a “long and difficult working relationship” with Rasmussen.

As of right now, Vitriol is Rasmussen and drummer Matt Kilner – it also appears that guitarist Daniel Martínez has also left the band at some point. The following is a statement from Vitriol.

“Update: Full Terror Assault Fest today. Our performance is at 8:30.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the departure of founding member, bassist, and co-vocalist, Adam Roethlisberger. After a very rocky start to the tour, Adam felt it was the time to call it a day. It was the straw upon the camel’s back of a long and difficult working relationship with myself (Kyle). I can be a difficult person to work with. Adam has our love and best wishes in whatever he pursues next.

“Matt and I will continue as a two-piece for the foreseeable future. Thank you to everyone who has shared their support and enthusiasm over these last several shows. To the rest of you, we hope to see you out there.”

Vitriol‘s tour dates with Goatwhore and Necrofier are as follows, including an appearance at the upcoming Metal Injection festival.
