UNDEATH Cancels Two Shows While Drummer Fights Lung Infection

New York death dealers Undeath were scheduled to perform in Los Angeles tonight and in Mesa, Arizona tomorrow, but canceled the show earlier today while drummer Matt Browning fights off a lung infection.

Undeath are currently on the More Insane North American Tour, which you can read about here.

They posted about the situation on Instagram:

“As we’re sure you’re already aware, Kruelty is dealing with some last-minute passport issues and as a result will be missing at least the first couple shows of this tour. This is a major financial blow for them and we’re hoping that they’ll be able to join the tour as soon as humanly possible. They’re a great band full of great people and all we can do is hope this gets resolved ASAP.

“We were planning on continuing on with the show tonight without them, as much as that sucks, but over the last couple days our drummer Matt has come down with a very serious lung infection that has left him barely able to speak at the moment, let alone drum. His health is our top priority, and as a result we have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel tonight’s show at the Echoplex and tomorrow’s show in Mesa at the Nile as well.

“Cancelling shows is not something this band takes lightly, and we’ve always done whatever we can to keep the wheels turning despite any illnesses or other problems that arise, but these are uniquely serious circumstances and we have to prioritize our good friend’s health and safety above all else to make sure that the rest of the tour can still happen. We want to sincerely apologize to anyone who was looking forward to the show, to Tribal Gaze, Gates to Hell and Greenwitch, and to everyone who was involved in putting the shows together.

“Trust that this is not the way we wanted to start this tour at all, but we’re going to figure this out, and we WILL be back in LA and Mesa to make this up to you as soon as we can. Thank you for understanding.

“- Undeath

We hope Browning heals up quickly and is able to return to performing soon.
