Planes clip wings at Boston’s Logan International Airport



BREAKING NEWS HAPPENING AT LOGAN AIRPORT RIGHT NOW. SKY FIVE IS OVER TERMINAL E, WHERE MASSPORT CONFIRMS TWO PLANES CLIPPED WINGS WHILE AT THE GATE. SO THIS IS WHAT WE KNOW RIGHT NOW. WE HAVE REACHED OUT TO BOTH AIRLINES AT THIS POINT. WE’RE TOLD THE PASSENGERS ARE NOW GETTING OFF THOSE PLANES. AND THAT THERE ARE NO INJURIES. THE PLANES WILL BE CHECKED OUT FOR DAMAGE. Two planes clipped wings on Monday at Boston’s Logan International Airport.An American Airlines plane clipped the wing tip of a Frontier Airlines plane at Terminal E.The Frontier flight was en route to Dallas, and the American Airlines flight arrived at Logan from London.”While pulling into its gate at Boston (BOS), American Airlines flight 109, with service from LHR to BOS, made contact with a nearby parked aircraft,” a spokesperson for American Airlines said. “There were no reported injuries, and customers deplaned the aircraft shortly after. The aircraft has been removed from service for inspection by our maintenance team. We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience this caused.”A Frontier spokesperson said their plane was awaiting pushback when the impact occurred.There were no reports of any injuries, MassPort confirmed.
