It’s a bittersweet moment for party enthusiasts everywhere—Party City is officially closing all its stores, marking the end of an era. While it’s sad to say goodbye to a destination for all things festive, there’s still one last reason to celebrate: incredible clearance sales! Now is the perfect time to stock up on your favorite party essentials—balloons, decorations, costumes, and so much more—all at up to 50% off. Let’s send Party City off in style by taking advantage of these deals and getting ready for future celebrations.
Since they are closing all stores and going out of business, everything is on sale now up to 50% off. Party City sells a wide variety of party essentials, including latex and foil balloons, themed tableware, banners, piñatas, streamers, and party favors for occasions like birthdays, weddings, graduations, and holidays. They also offer an extensive selection of costumes, wigs, props, and makeup for Halloween and other themed events, as well as cake toppers, centerpieces, and specialty décor for milestone celebrations.
Right now, we are finding the best deals on costumes and out-of-season decor (think Christmas and Halloween), but stay tuned as deals typically get better the closer a store gets to closing.
We don’t always plan for all the parties and celebrations the new year will bring, but shopping in advance when items are discounted is a savvy strategy. That opportunity is happening now at Party City. Take a moment to jot down the birthdays, graduations, baby showers, sporting events, and favorite holidays on your calendar.
Need some ideas to get started? Explore our top picks for Party City sale items that are must-haves to snag during this clearance event! And don’t forget to check back as deals tend to get better the closer a store gets to permanently shutting its doors.
Whether planning for next Halloween/Christmas, a themed party, or a school play, buying costumes and seasonal decor during Party City’s clearance sale is a smart way to stay prepared and save.
Whether for a milestone birthday or special event, a few cleverly placed decorations add that special touch to make loved ones happy. Here are some fun picks to add to upgrade your upcoming parties.
Party City faced significant struggles in recent years due to shifting consumer habits and increased competition. The rise of online retailers, like Amazon, made it easier and more convenient for shoppers to find party supplies at competitive prices, often delivered quickly to their doorstep. Big-box retailers like Target also began expanding their party supply offerings, further cutting into Party City’s market share. These factors combined with declining foot traffic in physical retail locations made it difficult for Party City to stay afloat.
Double-check sizes because all sales are final.
Online orders are subject to shipping fees unless you opt for store pick-up (which is subject to the availability at your local store). Orders placed by 3pm EST, Monday through Friday, typically ship the same day, excluding holidays. Orders placed after 3pm EST or on weekends will ship the next business day.
