Whether you start to decorate for Christmas as soon as Halloween comes to an end, after Thanksgiving or during December, it’s officially time to shop for a Christmas tree. Especially if you are hoping to buy The Home Depot‘s viral Grand Duchess Balsam Fir Tree, which is finally back in stock!
The Home Depot launched the Grand Duchess Balsam Fir as part of its Home Decorators Collection. This 7.5-foot-tall artificial tree is a spectacle to behold, featuring a whopping 3,000 branch tips and more than 2,000 color-changing LED lights. It’s easy to understand why it has gone viral every year since 2022.
If you follow the hashtag #grandduchessbalsamfir on TikTok, you can find more than 12.5 million views! You can also search for “christmas tree from home depot” to find hits. The video above shows the Grand Duchess Fir in action with all its glistening lights.
Because of the trees’ TikTok fame, all of the options, including the 7.5-ft. tree (up to $399), 9-ft. tree (up to $599) and 12-ft. tree (available for $899), were sold out at one point from August through to mid-October in 2024. We expect similar demand this year, so be sure to secure what you want from Home Depot’s holiday decor collection for 2025 before the tree sells out again!
Below we highlighted the variety of Home Decorators Collection Grand Duchess Balsam Fir Trees available at The Home Depot. Currently, only the 12-foot slim model (flocked) is not in stock.
Home Depot’s Grand Duchess Christmas Tree isn’t the the only eye-catching artificial Christmas tree on the market. Below we highlighted some alternative options that are available for a similar price, including a couple from Home Decorators Collection (the brand behind The Home Depot viral Christmas tree).
