The newly introduced 4D show enhancements include animatronic Winged Monkeys, custom themed scents like scented apples, pyrotechnic fireworks, and special atmospheric elements dubbed Glinda Glitter. These physical sensory additions build directly upon the foundational technology that has defined the production since its launch. Venue operators aim to increase audience engagement by blending high-resolution visual displays with physical sensations that match the on-screen action.

Financial milestones accompanied the debut of the updated 4D Wizard of Oz presentation. The venue reported that the production has officially surpassed $500,000,000 in total ticket sales. Attendance figures show that over 4000000 tickets have been sold to date, demonstrating strong consumer demand. To accommodate ongoing interest, tickets for the enhanced show have been extended through early 2027.

The technological platform at Sphere utilizes proprietary sensory systems to deliver environmental physical triggers. By integrating physical elements directly into the auditorium, the venue creates multisensory experiences that go beyond traditional cinema presentations. The expanded setup serves as a flagship showcase for how atmospheric effects, automated props, and visual media can be synchronized at scale.
