And you better go see &#8217;em at one of those festivals, because <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/slayer\">Slayer<\/a><\/strong> isn&#8217;t making this a yearly thing.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.classicrockhistory.com\/kerry-king-the-classicrockhistory-com-interview\/\">Classic Rock History<\/a><\/em>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/slayer\">Slayer<\/a><\/strong> guitarist <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/kerry-king\">Kerry King<\/a><\/strong> said it&#8217;ll be good to see his former bandmates, but notes that these reunion shows will be few and far between.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s not really much different at all,&#8221; said <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/kerry-king\">King<\/a><\/strong>. &#8220;It&#8217;s the same heads, same cabs, same pedals, same guitars. You know, there will be a lot of fire when <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/slayer\">Slayer<\/a><\/strong> plays, and I think, yeah, those shows will just be fun. It&#8217;ll be fun to play with <strong>Gary Holt<\/strong> for a few gigs; I haven&#8217;t seen him in almost five years, so that will be cool. And it&#8217;ll be cool to get together with <strong>Tom Araya<\/strong> and spit some hate out at people, but don&#8217;t get used to this being a yearly event.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/kerry-king\">King<\/a><\/strong> previously tamped down expectation of any tours or a new <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/slayer\">Slayer<\/a><\/strong> album in an interview with <em>Metal Hammer<\/em>, noting: &#8220;It&#8217;s not going to translate into recording, and it&#8217;s not going to translate into touring. For me, it&#8217;s three shows marking five years since our final shows, a fun, &#8216;Hey, remember us from before the pandemic?&#8217; celebration.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And really, isn&#8217;t having a few <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/slayer\">Slayer<\/a><\/strong> shows here and there more special than a reunion tour that hits your state maybe twice per year? Maybe <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/misfits\">Misfits<\/a><\/strong> got it right \u2013 make a huge spectacle out of every single reunion show, go quiet for a little, rinse and repeat. Which especially works for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/slayer\">Slayer<\/a><\/strong>&#8216;s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/kerry-king\">Kerry King<\/a><\/strong>, now that he&#8217;s got his own solo career cooking.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"zox-post-body left zoxrel zox100\">\n<h5>Want More Metal?
