The long-awaited script for Sister Act 3<\/em><\/a> is done, according to Tanya Trotter<\/strong>, who appeared in Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit<\/em> and is also one-half of the country duo The War and Treaty.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I can\u2019t say [whether or not I\u2019m a part of it], but I do know that the script is done,\u201d Trotter told Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a> backstage at CMA Fest in Nashville on Saturday, June 8.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnything that Whoopi Goldberg is a part of \u2014 \u2019cause she\u2019s a legend, she\u2019s an icon, she\u2019s my mentor, hero \u2014 yes, I would say yes,\u201d Trotter responded when asked if she\u2019d return for the threequel.<\/p>\n

Trotter gave a memorable performance in 1993\u2019s Sister Act 2<\/em>, in which she sang \u201cHis Eye is on the Sparrow\u201d along with Lauryn Hill<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The singer recently reunited with cast members Goldberg, who played Deloris Van Cartier\/Sister Mary Clarence, Kathy Najimy<\/strong> (Sister Mary Patrick), Wendy Makkena<\/strong> (Sister Mary Robert), and Sheryl Lee Ralph<\/strong>, who played the mother of Hill\u2019s character, to mark the movie\u2019s 30th anniversary on an episode of The View<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Trotter led the emotional performance of \u201cJoyful, Joyful\u201d on the Wednesday, June 5, episode of the ABC daytime talk show. At the end of the song, Goldberg, 68, was visibly overcome with emotion as Ralph and Makkena embraced her.<\/p>\n
