1349<\/a><\/strong> is here to freeze you out amidst the hot weather with their new single “Shadow Point”. The single comes alongside a music video directed by Claudio Marino<\/strong> and produced by Artax Film, and heralds the new 1349<\/a><\/strong> record The Wolf And The King<\/em> due out October 4.<\/p>\n “‘Shadow Point’ is an ode to The Demon Star, which is a representation of violence and bloodshed,” said 1349<\/a><\/strong> frontman Ravn<\/strong>. “This is the perfect omen to showcase what you can expect from The Wolf And The King<\/em>.”<\/p>\n On the new record itself, Ravn<\/strong> elaborates: “When I first heard about alchemy when I was young, it was people turning metal into gold. Further down the road, through various literatures and magical practices, I realized that what you’re turning into gold is metaphorical. It’s about personal development, basically. You want to be the best you can be, and that’s what we try to do as well. We try to top ourselves, to kill our egos in order to grow as persons. If you don’t do that, you will die.
