Crowbar<\/a><\/strong> and Morbid Visionz<\/a><\/strong> originally teamed up for some US tour dates earlier this year, and they’re doing it again this November! Crowbar<\/a><\/strong> and Morbid Visionz<\/a><\/strong> will hit the road starting on November 5 at the White Oak Music Hall in Houston, TX before wrapping things up at the Southport Music Hall in New Orleans, LA on November 29.<\/p>\n Check out the full list of dates below and get your tickets here<\/a>.<\/p>\n 11\/5 Houston, TX White Oak Music Hall Crowbar<\/a><\/strong> frontman Kirk Windstein<\/strong> has been plenty busy outside the NOLA sludge band, largely with his upcoming solo album<\/a> and the first new Down<\/a><\/strong> material in over a decade.<\/p>\n Down<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 the band featuring Windstein<\/strong> and fellow guitarist Pepper Keenan<\/strong> (Corrosion Of Conformity<\/a><\/strong>), vocalist Phil Anselmo<\/strong> (Pantera<\/a><\/strong>), bassist Patrick Bruders<\/strong> (Saint Vitus<\/a><\/strong>, ex-Crowbar<\/a><\/strong>), and drummer Jimmy Bower<\/strong> (Eyehategod<\/a><\/strong>) \u2013 has been hard at work on the follow-up to their 2014 EP Down IV \u2013 Part 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n According to Windstein<\/strong> in a recent interview with Concrete Spew<\/em>, new Down<\/a><\/strong> is starting to sound a lot like old Down<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 specifically their 1995 debut album NOLA<\/em>.<\/p>\n “It just sounds like Down<\/a><\/strong>,” said Windstein<\/strong>. “I mean, it sounds refreshing because we haven’t done it in so long, gotten together with me and the guys and done it in \u2014 fuck \u2014 12 years or something. So it sounds like Down<\/a><\/strong>, I think, to me, it sounds more old-school Down<\/a><\/strong>. And the reason I say that is I think we got to a point where\u2026 Like, the NOLA<\/em> record is so simple, and it just wrote itself; it was so simple. And that’s how this is coming about, which is great.<\/p>\n “We’re not overthinking it. We’re not trying to make things too complex. Phillip<\/strong>‘s not trying to write so many lyrics and things. We just kind of got away \u2014 I hate to say ‘got away’, ’cause anything we do is Down<\/a><\/strong>, but, to me, we kind of got a little bit\u2026 We needed to go back and look at each other and just go, ‘Let’s just get in a room and do it like we did from the beginning.’ And that’s what it feels like to me. It’s very magical. The ideas and the working together, just bounce off of one another, it’s a natural thing.”\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
