Progressive stoner\/prog-rock metal fans \u2013 I’m one of those \u2013 now have something exciting to look forward to. Elder<\/a><\/strong>‘s 2023 performance at Maida Vale Studios <\/strong>for BBC Radio 1’s \u2018Rock Show With Daniel P Carter’ is set for a vinyl and CD release on August 30th, courtesy of Stickman Records. <\/p>\n The special session, recorded in London, England, on August 16th last year, with Elder<\/a><\/strong><\/strong> performing three standout tracks: “Merged In Dreams \u2013 Nu Plus Ultra,” “Lore,” and “Thousand Hands,” the latter of which can be streamed below.<\/p>\n “Last year while on tour in Europe, we had the fortune to be invited by the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show (thanks Daniel Carter<\/strong>!) to record a live session at the legendary BBC Maida Vale Studios<\/strong>,” shared the band. “We recorded a few tracks from the live set we had been playing at that time and were very happy with the results \u2013 a very \u2018live’ sounding version of the tracks, which can be sometimes a bit ambitious to pull off live. Most folks missed the radio broadcast, so we figured we’d put it to vinyl and CD as well.”<\/p>\n “The LP version is available in two colors: tricolor green\/black marbled vinyl (limited to 1000 pcs and exclusively available at the Stickman Records webstore) and standard solid red.
