It went quintuple platinum in the US, and the biggest hit from that album is the song <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stay_with_Me_(Sam_Smith_song)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u201cStay With Me,\u201d<\/a> which has over 2 billion streams on Spotify alone. For this episode, in honor of the song\u2019s 10th anniversary, I talked to Sam about how \u201cStay With Me\u201d was made. I also talked to Sam\u2019s frequent collaborator, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jimmy_Napes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jimmy Napes,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/concord.com\/publishing-roster\/jimmy-napes\/#:~:text=Napes%20has%20won%20several%20awards,and%20two%20Ivor%20Novello%20Awards.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">who is an award-winning producer and songwriter as well.<\/a> The two of them tell the story of how the song began, and how it turned into the hit that it became.
