Here’s a new one \u2013 This Will Destroy You<\/a><\/strong> has split into two bands.<\/p>\n According to a statement by This Will Destroy You<\/a><\/strong>, founding guitarists Jeremy Galindo<\/strong> and Christopher King<\/strong> are going their separate ways. Both will tour as This Will Destroy You<\/a><\/strong> with two different lineups playing different material each night. It’s unclear if the two bands will tour together or if either project will be called This Will Destroy You<\/a><\/strong> in the future, as the statement only notes “both will release new music under separate project names in the future.”<\/p>\n So yeah, This Will Destroy You<\/a><\/strong> hasn’t exactly broken up, but they also haven’t not<\/em> broken up. It’s a confusing one.<\/p>\n “After years of collaboration, Jeremy Galindo<\/strong> and Christopher King<\/strong> have decided to pursue their own creative endeavors, focusing on solo, collaborative, and compositional work,” wrote This Will Destroy You<\/a><\/strong> on their Instagram.<\/p>\n “As they embark on these new ventures, both Galindo<\/strong> and King<\/strong> will continue to honor their roots by touring globally with two distinct lineups of This Will Destroy You<\/a><\/strong>. Each lineup will perform different material from the TWDY<\/a><\/strong> catalog during their respective tours and shows, and both will release new music under separate project names in the future.<\/p>\n “Christopher King<\/strong> will be performing with Jesse Kees<\/strong> and Robi Gonzalez<\/strong>, who were instrumental in the creation of New Others Part 1 and 2<\/em>. They will be joined by multi-instrumentalist, Masaru Takaku<\/strong>. Jeremy Galindo<\/strong> will be touring with Johnnie McBryde<\/strong>, Nicholas Huft<\/strong>, and Ethan Billips<\/strong>.<\/p>\n “Tour dates for both groups will be announced soon, so keep an eye out for them!
