{"id":230014,"date":"2024-08-17T23:47:44","date_gmt":"2024-08-17T23:47:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newhampshiredigitalnews.com\/index.php\/2024\/08\/17\/saint-vitus-appears-to-have-closed-for-good\/"},"modified":"2024-08-17T23:47:44","modified_gmt":"2024-08-17T23:47:44","slug":"saint-vitus-appears-to-have-closed-for-good","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newhampshiredigitalnews.com\/index.php\/2024\/08\/17\/saint-vitus-appears-to-have-closed-for-good\/","title":{"rendered":"Saint Vitus Appears To Have Closed For Good"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Well this sucks \u2013 the legendary Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, NY seems to have closed for good.<\/p>\n<p>Saint Vitus was <a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/news\/saint-vitus-issues-statement-on-getting-shut-down-over-the-weekend\">shut down by the New York City Department Of Buildings (DOB)<\/a> in the middle of a <strong>Mindforce<\/strong> show on February 16 and, despite hosting shows under the name Saint Vitus Presents at multiple venues across the city (and <a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/news\/saint-vitus-on-r-i-p-posts-we-certainly-are-not-resting-whatsoever\">promising a potential reopening<\/a>), never opened back up. Now according to longtime Saint Vitus videographer <strong>Frank Huang<\/strong> and <strong>Spotlights<\/strong> and <strong>Julie Christmas<\/strong> drummer <strong>Chris Enriquez<\/strong>, Saint Vitus is gone for good.<\/p>\n<p>Saint Vitus has not issued a statement on the matter just yet, but photos posted by <strong>Huang<\/strong> show the grim reality. Thanks for everything, Saint Vitus. You&#8217;ll be missed.
