Dimmu Borgir<\/a><\/strong> guitarist and bassist Galder<\/strong> has quit the band. Galder<\/strong> joined Dimmu Borgir<\/a><\/strong> in 2000 and has now announced his departure to focus on his other project Old Man’s Child<\/a><\/strong>, who hasn’t put out a new record since 2009. Galder<\/strong>‘s final show with Dimmu Borgir<\/a><\/strong><\/strong> was at the Dynamo Metal Fest on August 17.<\/p>\n Dimmu Borgir<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 who is currently founding members Shagrath<\/strong> and Silenoz<\/strong> alongside a slew of live members \u2013 has not commented on the situation.<\/p>\n “Yesterday I played my last show with Dimmu Borgir<\/a><\/strong>,” wrote Galder<\/strong>. “After almost 25 years of making music and playing with Dimmu Borgir<\/a><\/strong> I have decided to leave the band. I have been thinking about this for years and as many of you have been pointing out \u2013 it’s time for Old Man’s Child<\/strong> to get on stage again and finalizing the new album. I wish the best for the other members of the band moving forward.”<\/p>\n
