Contrarian<\/a><\/strong> released its previous album, Sage of Shekhina<\/em>, on Willowtip Records in 2023.<\/p>\n

Contrarian<\/a><\/strong> is working on their sixth album and they’ve got a familiar face with ’em in the studio! Contrarian<\/a><\/strong> is rejoined by drummer George Kollias<\/strong> (Nile<\/a><\/strong>), who originally played for the band between 2014 and 2019.<\/p>\n

“To wrap up line-up announcements for new album\u2026 Guess who’s back? Yes, recording has begun on new album and OG George Kollias<\/strong> is back at it!” wrote Contrarian<\/a><\/strong> of the new lineup.<\/p>\n

According to a press release, Contrarian<\/a><\/strong> is working on a new record called Escaping Depravity<\/em> with engineer Doug White<\/strong> at Watchmen Studios. A touring line-up has also been established to support the upcoming album, though it’s not clear on who that is just yet.<\/p>\n
