Tan France<\/strong><\/a> may be the fashion expert on Queer Eye<\/em><\/a> but he\u2019s also got a knack for whipping up some delicious meals.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no better chocolate cake on the planet [than Ina Garten<\/strong>\u2019s,]\u201d France, 41, exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly<\/em> while promoting his partnership with Williams Sonoma and No Kid Hungry<\/a>. \u201cI have been making it for about 10 [or] 15 years.\u201d<\/p>\n

France shares that while Garten\u2019s iconic sweet treat is perfection on its own, he wanted to add his own unique twist to the dessert and decided to spice it up.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I add ginger \u2014 all different kinds of ginger, powdered ginger, candied ginger, stem ginger,\u201d he explains. \u201cIt\u2019s a ginger chocolate cake I\u2019ve been making over the last few years. I think that combination is dynamite.\u201d<\/p>\n

France is no stranger to dabbling in the spice rack as he grew up in a Muslim household. When his family would celebrate Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, France says his mother would primarily make South Asian dishes for the occasion and curry was always present throughout his childhood.<\/p>\n

To this day, the Queer Eye<\/em> star still has a love for all things spicy. His go-to late-night snack, for instance, is Takis hot chips. He\u2019s also obsessed with Skinny Dipped snacks.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t snack between meals, but I do snack at night,\u201d he tells Us. \u201cI will always go for one of two: SkinnyDipped Lemon Bliss almonds \u2014 the flavor is so bomb. Then they have a flavor called Unicorn. It\u2019s these cashews that are coated in birthday cake frosting. It\u2019s so good.\u201d<\/p>\n

France does also have a great appreciation for traditional British fare. If he had to choose a final meal on Earth, he\u2019d go with a traditional Sunday roast.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is very, very English. It\u2019s meat, potatoes, vegetables and Yorkshire pudding,\u201d he tells Us<\/em>. \u201cIt\u2019s the perfect balanced meal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tan is also no stranger to bringing back classic old-fashioned meals for his husband, Rob France<\/strong>, and their two sons: Ismail, 3, and Issac, 14 months.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the last few months, I revisited what I think is an \u201980s classic. It\u2019s a tuna casserole,\u201d Tan says. \u201cMy son\u2019s obsessed with pasta and any kind of noodle, but I wanted to get in some vegetables, so I pack it with a bunch of broccoli and peas. He loves that s\u2013t.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tan adds that his son \u201creally likes vegetables\u201d to begin with so combining them into one pasta dish is something \u201ceasy\u201d he can do for the entire family.<\/p>\n

For Tan France, that\u2019s style.\u00a0 The personality and fashion plate makes a career out of helping people make better and more stylish decisions when they get dressed. So\u00a0\u00a0who better [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When broached by Williams Sonoma to create his own personal spatula, which features roti on the design, Tan couldn\u2019t help but jump at the opportunity especially when he learned the proceeds would benefit No Kid Hungry.<\/p>\n
