In a recent exclusive interview with Loudwire<\/a><\/em>, Vicky Hamilton<\/strong>, the former manager of Guns N’ Roses<\/a><\/strong>, revealed that a television series centered around the vibrant 1980s rock scene on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip is officially in the works. Hamilton<\/strong>, who played a significant role in the early careers of major rock bands like M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce<\/a><\/strong>, Stryper<\/a><\/strong>, Poison<\/a><\/strong>, and Faster Pussycat<\/strong>, is set to bring her unique experiences to the small screen.<\/p>\n During the interview, Hamilton<\/strong> shared insights into the motivation behind the project, reflecting on her past, including her time managing and booking shows for Guns N’ Roses<\/a><\/strong> before their rise to fame with Appetite for Destruction<\/em>. Hamilton<\/strong>\u2019s journey with the band was pivotal, as she helped them secure their crucial record deal with Geffen Records.<\/p>\n Hamilton<\/strong>, who published her autobiography Appetite for Dysfunction: A Cautionary Tale<\/em> in 2016, is no stranger to storytelling. In the interview, she also discussed Axl’s Glow <\/em>\u2014 a painting she created of Axl Rose<\/strong> in 1993 during a period when she was coming to terms with the end of her professional and personal relationship with the band. Reflecting on that time, she noted, “It was a very sad time. I was trying to figure out what had actually happened and why it went down like that.”<\/p>\n With time, Hamilton<\/strong> found clarity. She shared: “I think once I started writing the book, I kind of got a sense of why that happened so that I would write this book. And this is the first time I’m really saying this out loud\u2014I\u2019ve done a deal with a production company, and it\u2019s going to get made into a TV series.”<\/p>\n While details about the upcoming series remain sparse, Hamilton<\/strong> hinted that a highly creative writer, known for multiple successful TV shows, is attached to the project. The show will explore not just the story of Guns N’ Roses<\/a><\/strong> but also the broader rock scene of Los Angeles in the 1980s, featuring all the bands Hamilton<\/strong> worked with during that era.<\/p>\n Casting is still in the early stages, but Hamilton<\/strong> expressed her interest in actors like Finn Wolfhard<\/strong> and Elle Fanning<\/strong> for potential roles: “I kind of see it like a\u00a0Daisy Jones & the Six,\u00a0but like an ’80s version of that. I don’t know if legally they’ll be able to work out to use the real band names, but who knows?”<\/p>\n In addition to the series, Hamilton<\/strong>‘s painting, Axl’s Glow<\/em>, is up for auction, with bidding open until August 26.
