The band played 15 total shows in 2024 so far and, outside a brief return in 2023 with the <em>Where the Cold Wind Blows<\/em> 7&#8243;, hasn&#8217;t released a full-length album since 2021&#8217;s <em>Deceiver<\/em>. That&#8217;s about to change.<\/p>\n<p>According to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/khemmis\">Khemmis<\/a><\/strong> in a brief update, they&#8217;re working on a new record right now and promises to see everyone soon. The silence also makes sense considering <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/khemmis\">Khemmis<\/a><\/strong>&#8216; own <strong>Ben Hutcherson<\/strong> and <strong>David Small<\/strong> have spent a chunk of 2024 promoting the first new <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/glacial-tomb\">Glacial Tomb<\/a><\/strong> record in six years, <em>Lightless Expanse<\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/new-music\/glacial-tomb-khemmis-returns-with-first-album-in-six-years-new-single\">which you really should check out here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Yes, it\u2019s quiet over here.
