Abigor<\/a><\/strong> guitarist and bassist Peter Kubik<\/strong> has died at 49 years old. Kubik<\/strong> is one of Abigor<\/a><\/strong>‘s two founding members alongside Thomas Tannenberger<\/strong>, and played both guitar and bass in the band. On Kubik<\/strong>‘s death, Abigor<\/a><\/strong> only offered that he “walked through the gate by his own hand, through his own will.”<\/p>\n Kubik<\/strong> played on every Abigor<\/a><\/strong> record from their 1994 debut Verw\u00fcstung \/ Invoke the Dark Age <\/em>up to their last effort, Taphonomia Aeternitatis \u2013 Ges\u00e4nge im Leichenlicht der Welt<\/em> in 2023.<\/p>\n “PK<\/strong> 1975 \u2013 2024 immortal in his legacy \u2013 blood (family), soil (home) and monuments of Black Metal art. walked through the gate by his own hand, through his own will,” wrote Abigor<\/a><\/strong> on their Facebook page. “(photo below May 1995 during the recording of Nachthymnen<\/em>. more following during the next days. keep your respectful distance to the bereaved for now!)”<\/p>\n
