Septicflesh<\/a><\/strong> rules. Their compositional prowess is some of the best in symphonic metal, and their music is just so insanely heavy that I’m not really sure how anyone could not<\/em> love it. But don’t take my word for it \u2013 take Nile<\/a><\/strong> frontman Karl Sanders<\/strong>‘ word.<\/p>\n In an interview with Revolver<\/a><\/em>, Sanders<\/strong> called Septicflesh<\/a><\/strong> the “pinnacle of symphonic death metal” before praising their 2020 live DVD Infernus Sinfonica MMXIX<\/em> as an “unequaled achievement.” So it’s pretty safe to say Karl Sanders<\/strong> is a huge Septicflesh<\/a><\/strong> fan.<\/p>\n “Septicflesh<\/a><\/strong> are, for me, the pinnacle of symphonic death metal. I like the live ‘Anubis’ taken from their Infernus Sinfonica MMXIX<\/em> DVD. Recorded at the Metropolitan Theatre in Mexico City, the whole DVD is an unequaled achievement.<\/p>\n “I have been a Septicflesh<\/a><\/strong> fan ever since the early days when they were on Holy Records, and I fucking loved their album The Great Mass<\/em>. They have done quite a bit with Greek mythology, and several times touched on Egyptian mythos, as well \u2014 which tracks, because there was quite a bit of cross-cultural connection between the Ancient Greeks and the Ancient Egyptians.”<\/p>\n Nile<\/a><\/strong> is hitting the road in 2025 with the ever-elusive Six Feet Under<\/a><\/strong> as their co-headliners.
