The past day has been utterly insane for Linkin Park<\/a><\/strong>. First and foremost came the announcement of new vocalist Emily Armstrong<\/strong>, a new single, a new album<\/a>, and a handful of tour dates for the remainder of 2024. Linkin Park<\/a><\/strong> in 2024 is Armstrong<\/strong>, Mike Shinoda<\/strong>, Brad Delson<\/strong>, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell<\/strong>, Joe Hahn<\/strong>, and new drummer Colin Brittain<\/strong> in place of original drummer Rob Bourdon<\/strong> (as explained by the band themselves here<\/a>).<\/p>\n Outside Bourdon<\/strong>, there’s been a second lineup change \u2013 Delson<\/strong> will only be involved with Linkin Park<\/a><\/strong> behind the scenes and in the studio. Delson<\/strong> will be replaced by guitarist Alex Feder<\/strong>, as he explains in the below post.<\/p>\n “Beyond excited to share this new chapter with the world,” wrote Delson<\/strong>. <\/p>\n “Bringing our vision to life is the culmination of many twists and turns, as we continue our unique journey together as a band. We couldn’t do it without a belief in what is possible, even when things seem impossible; without the ability to listen, particularly when emotions run deep; and without the support and love of everyone around us. Thank you thank you thank you.<\/p>\n “In awe of @emilyarmstrong<\/strong> and @colinbrittain<\/strong> for their talent, passion, and partnership. Deep gratitude to all my bandmates for their humility, hard work, and friendship.<\/p>\n “I’ve always felt deeply connected to and proud of our live performances. Over the years I’ve realized I thrive most when I’m actively working with my bandmates behind the scenes\u2013\u2013in the studio, collaborating on our new music, and helping build our live show.<\/p>\n “I am so proud of everything we continue to create together. While I will not be performing on tour in this new chapter, I am super excited to introduce Alex<\/strong>\u2014my handsome deputy on the road. Alex is a world-class musician, a kind and thoughtful friend, and we are truly fortunate he’ll be contributing his unique talent to our LP<\/a><\/strong> universe.<\/p>\n “Fresh eyes, honest appreciation, and devoted teamwork have brought us to this special moment.
