Dave Navarro<\/strong> on stage<\/a>, promptly ending the show.<\/p>\nJane’s Addiction<\/strong><\/strong> has now issued an apology to fans for the on-stage incident and has cancelled their show for tonight, September 15 in Bridgeport, CT. No word on what the status is for the rest of their tour with Love & Rockets<\/strong>, but the next show after Connecticut is in Toronto, ON on September 18.<\/p>\n“We want to extend a heartfelt apology to our fans for the events that unfolded last night,” wrote Jane’s Addiction<\/strong>. “As a result we will be cancelling tomorrow night’s show in Bridgeport. Refunds will be issued at your point of purchase \u2013 or if you purchased via a third-party reseller (StubHub, SeatGeek, etc),reach out to them directly. Thank you, Jane’s Addiction<\/strong>.”<\/p>\nFarrell<\/strong>‘s wife Etty Lau Farrell<\/strong> has since taken to Instagram to offer her own account of what happened on September 13. According to Etty<\/strong>, Perry<\/strong> was frustrated that the band was too loud and that his voice was being drown out. Coupled with being sick and a raucous crowd, Perry<\/strong> took it out on Navarro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n“Rather than speculating, I thought to post a first person account of what happened on stage with @janesaddiction last night at the @lenderpavilion in Boston.<\/p>\n
“WHO: Perry Farrell<\/strong> & Dave Navarro<\/strong><\/p>\n“HOW: Clearly there had been a lot of tension and animosity between the members.. the magic that made the band so dynamic. Well, the dynamite was lit. Perry<\/strong> got up in Dave<\/strong>\u2019s face and body checked him.<\/p>\n“WHY: Perry\u2019<\/strong>s frustration had been mounting, night after night, he felt that the stage volume had been extremely loud and his voice was being drowned out by the band. Perry<\/strong> had been suffering from tinnitus and a sore throat every night. But when the audience in the first row, started complaining up to Perry<\/strong> cussing at him that the band was planning too loud and that they couldn\u2019t hear him, Perry<\/strong> lost it.<\/p>\n“WHEN: The band started the song Ocean before Perry<\/strong> was ready and did the count off.. The stage volume was so loud at that point, that Perry<\/strong> couldn\u2019t hear pass the boom and the vibration of the instruments and by the end of the song, he wasn\u2019t singing, he was screaming just be to be heard.<\/p>\n“SO WHO WON THE FIGHT:<\/p>\n
“Why, Eric Avery<\/strong> of course. While Dave<\/strong> was keeping Perry<\/strong> at arm\u2019s length to de-escalate the situation. Dan<\/strong> rushed over to de-escalate as well by holding Perry<\/strong> back. Dave<\/strong> walked away to take his guitar off. Eric<\/strong> walked up to Perry<\/strong>, upstage, in the dark, behind Dan<\/strong>, put Perry<\/strong> in a headlock and punched him in the stomach three times. Kevin<\/strong>, crewmember with a long hair with long hair pulled Eric<\/strong> away. Then Eric<\/strong> nonchalant walked off to the front of the stage to apologize to audience for the show ended early.<\/p>\n“WHAT WAS THE AFTERMATH?<\/p>\n
“Dave<\/strong> still looked handsome and cool in the middle of a fight. Perry<\/strong> was a crazed beast for the next half an hour \u2013 he finally did not calm down, but did breakdown and cried and cried. Eric<\/strong>, well he either didn\u2019t understand what descalation meant or took advantage of the situation and got in a few cheap shots on Perry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n“Well, that\u2019s is my first person account narrative of what happened.
