Linkin Park<\/a><\/strong> performed their new single “The Emptiness Machine” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em> last night, September 17. Should you have missed that performance, you can check it out in all its fog-heavy glory above.<\/p>\n Linkin Park<\/a><\/strong> in 2024 is new vocalist Emily Armstrong<\/strong> and new drummer Colin Brittain<\/strong> in place of Rob Bourdon<\/strong><\/a> alongside classic members Mike Shinoda<\/strong>, Brad Delson<\/strong>, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell<\/strong>, Joe Hahn<\/strong>. For their live shows, Delson<\/strong> is being filled in for by guitarist Alex Feder<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n So why come back as Linkin Park<\/a><\/strong>? According to Linkin Park<\/a><\/strong>‘s Mike Shinoda<\/strong> in a recent interview with Q101<\/em>, it just felt right to come back as Linkin Park<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n “In the middle of the process, we were open to, like, maybe the lineup is like a moving lineup, maybe there’s multiple vocalists, maybe it’s a different name, stuff like that,” said Shinoda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n “And then as the music came into focus, we were, like, ‘This is as Linkin Park<\/a><\/strong> an album as we could make. It’s so Linkin Park<\/a><\/strong> that if we call it something else, then we are idiots.’ Because it would be like misrepresentation. It’d be silly. And when people hear more of the album, they will understand that.”<\/p>\n Linkin Park<\/a><\/strong> will release their comeback album From Zero<\/em> on November 15.
