Opeth<\/a><\/strong> has postponed their new record The Last Will And Testament<\/em> from October 11 to November 22. Opeth<\/a><\/strong> cites unforeseen delays in the manufacturing process for the new release date.<\/p>\n “We strive to deliver the highest quality product possible, and to achieve that, we need a bit more time to ensure the final release meets our standards,” wrote Opeth<\/a><\/strong> frontman Mikael \u00c5kerfeldt<\/strong>. “We understand this may come as a disappointment, but we sincerely appreciate your patience and continued support. We can’t wait to share this new music with you, and we are confident it will be worth the wait.”<\/p>\n Pre-orders for The Last Will And Testament<\/em> are available here<\/a>. The Last Will & Testament<\/em> is a concept album set in the post-World War I era that tells the the story of a wealthy, conservative patriarch whose last will and testament reveals shocking family secrets. The narrative weaves through the patriarch’s confessions, the reactions of his twin children, and the mysterious presence of a polio-ridden girl who the family have taken care of.<\/p>\n The strings on The Last Will & Testament<\/em> were arranged by \u00c5kerfeldt<\/strong> and Dave Stewart<\/strong> (Egg<\/strong>, Khan<\/strong>). and conducted by Stewart at Angel Studios in London. Flautist and Jethro Tull<\/strong> main man Ian Anderson<\/strong> provides narration on “\u00a71”, “\u00a72”, “\u00a74”, and “\u00a77”; and flute on “\u00a74” and “\u00a77”. Europe<\/strong>‘s Joey Tempest<\/strong> lends his backing vocals on “\u00a72\u201d, while \u00c5kerfeldt<\/strong>‘s youngest daughter Mirjam \u00c5kerfeldt<\/strong> is the disembodied voice in “\u00a71”.<\/p>\n Opeth<\/a><\/strong> will still hit the road throughout October with Tribulation<\/a><\/strong>, and in Europe come early 2025 with Grand Magus<\/a><\/strong>.
