Kanye West<\/strong> found himself in a bit of hot water yesterday after Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong> blasted him on social media<\/a> for using an uncleared sample of “Iron Man” by Black Sabbath<\/a><\/strong> (originally mistaken for “War Pigs”) at a release party for his new album Vultures<\/em>, as well as on the song “Carnival”. In a statement, Osbourne<\/strong><\/a> said he denied West<\/strong> on the grounds that West<\/strong> is “AN ANTISEMITE AND HAS CAUSED UNTOLD HEARTACHE TO MANY,” later adding that “I WANT NO ASSOCIATION WITH THIS MAN!”<\/p>\n

Now Sharon Osbourne<\/strong> has weighed in with Billboard<\/a><\/em>, echoing Ozzy<\/strong><\/a>‘s statements that the Osbourne<\/strong> family would rather not be associated with West<\/strong>. “We get so many requests for these songs, and when we saw that request, we just said no way.”<\/p>\n

She added: “The simple thing is, we don’t want to be associated with a hater. To spread hate the way he does, it shouldn’t be allowed. All the excuses \u2014 he’s bipolar or whatever \u2014 doesn’t change that. It’s like, fuck you, basically.”<\/p>\n

Sharon<\/strong> later clarified that Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong>, Tony Iommi<\/strong>, Geezer Butler<\/strong>, and Bill Ward<\/strong> own “Iron Man” and all four parties would have needed to approve before West<\/strong> could use the sample. West<\/strong> has since pulled the sample from his album, likely fearing legal backlash.<\/p>\n

Vultures<\/em> has previously come under fire for the Vultures<\/em> album using a 1835 painting by German artist Caspar David Friedrich<\/strong>, which references of Burzum<\/strong>‘s album Filosofem<\/em>. West<\/strong> has also embraced Burzum<\/strong> mastermind Varg Vikernes<\/strong><\/a> in recent months, which again \u2013 antisemites sure love them some antisemites. Especially ones that describe themselves as such<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
