You can check it out below, though I feel like the YouTube platform isn&#8217;t doing it any favors \u2013 this sounds compressed to hell and a little thin, right? Almost like a lower quality file got uploaded?<\/p>\n<div class=\"zox-post-ad-wrap\">\n<div class=\"zox-post-ad\">\n<div class=\"zox-post-ad-versus\">\n<p><versus-widget x-type=\"inline\" x-id=\"7531ec27-8a79-4b18-a301-e7e5c3355ed2\">Please enable Javascript to view this content<\/versus-widget><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>Dark Matter<\/em> was produced by <strong>Andrew Watt<\/strong> (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/ozzy-osbourne\">Ozzy Osbourne<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Post Malone<\/strong>) and you can <a href=\"https:\/\/pearljam.lnk.to\/darkmatterFP\">pre-order it right here<\/a>. As for the album&#8217;s overall sound, guitarist <strong>Mike McCready<\/strong>, recently told <em>Classic Rock<\/em> that it&#8217;ll be a heavy one.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a lot heavier than you&#8217;d expect,&#8221; said <strong>McCready<\/strong> &#8220;There&#8217;s the melody and energy of the first couple of records. We worked with <strong>Andrew Watt<\/strong>, who&#8217;s a younger pop producer-type guy, but he&#8217;s really a rock guy at heart \u2013 I think we&#8217;re his favorite band. When we were in the studio with him this past year, he really kicked our asses, got us focused, and playing, song after song. It took a long time to make\u00a0<em>Gigaton<\/em>, but this new one didn&#8217;t take long. <strong>Andrew<\/strong> was like: &#8216;You guys take forever to make records. Let&#8217;s do this, right now.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<strong>Andrew<\/strong> pushed us to play as hard melodic and thoughtfully as we&#8217;ve done in a long time.
