The original story is as follows.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Original story<\/strong>: Louder Than Life will take place between September 26 and 29 at the Highland Festival Grounds At Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY. The festival will be headlined by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/slayer\">Slayer<\/a><\/strong> and a bunch of other bands that aren&#8217;t the surprise reunion of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/slayer\">Slayer<\/a><\/strong> like <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/motley-crue\">M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/slipknot\">Slipknot<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/korn\">Korn<\/a><\/strong>. I guess <strong>Kerry King<\/strong> and <strong>Tom Araya<\/strong> were speaking a little more than <a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/news\/kerry-king-hasnt-spoken-to-tom-araya-since-2015-says-dave-lombardo-is-dead-to-him\"><strong>King<\/strong> originally let on<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/slayer\">Slayer<\/a><\/strong>&#8216;s reunion (if it&#8217;s even a reunion and not just some festivals) has really strange timing too, considering <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/kerry-king\">Kerry King<\/a><\/strong> just <a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/new-music\/kerry-king-unveils-his-solo-band-streams-debut-single-idle-hands\">announced his long awaited solo album<\/a>. Doubly so as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/kerry-king\">King<\/a><\/strong>&#8216;s main lament on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/slayer\">Slayer<\/a><\/strong>&#8216;s demise was that he had <a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/news\/kerry-king-still-pissed-slayer-retired-says-playing-live-got-taken-away-from-me\">no vehicle to play live anymore<\/a> \u2013 an opportunity <a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tour-dates\/lamb-of-god-mastodon-announce-co-headlining-anniversary-tour-with-kerry-king-malevolence\">that is quite literally coming up<\/a> with his solo band. But it&#8217;s 2024 and I guess at this point everyone should never expect a &#8220;final show&#8221; from any band to be an actually final show.<\/p>\n<p>Though I guess we should&#8217;ve at least considered this a possibility, as their manager <strong>Rick Sales<\/strong> said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.masslive.com\/entertainment\/2019\/11\/massachusetts-born-slayer-manager-finds-end-bittersweet.html\">2019 interview<\/a> &#8220;I totally get that they made a decision to stop touring. That doesn&#8217;t mean the end of the band. It&#8217;s just the end of touring.&#8221; Touring, not shows.<\/p>\n<p>And no \u2013 we don&#8217;t know who&#8217;s in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metalinjection.net\/tag\/slayer\">Slayer<\/a><\/strong> 2024 right now.
