Selena Gomez<\/strong><\/a> is on cloud nine in her relationship with\u00a0Benny Blanco<\/strong><\/a>. While promoting her new single<\/a> \u201cLove On,\u201d which was released with the accompanying music video on February 22, the 31-year-old singer spoke to Zane Lowe<\/strong> on Apple Music 1\u2019s New Music Daily\u00a0<\/em>and opened up about how this might just be the best relationship<\/a> she\u2019s ever been in.<\/p>\n

\u201cWithout getting into too much detail, I think it\u2019s just really important to meet someone that respects you,\u201d Selena said in the interview, per PEOPLE<\/em><\/a>. \u201cAnd I think it\u2019s really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. But I\u2019d have to say overall it\u2019s the safest that I feel and it\u2019s been really lovely and I\u2019ve only grown through it, so it\u2019s awesome,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Selena and Benny, 35, confirmed they were dating in December 2023, and Selena clarified<\/a> that they started going out months earlier. \u201cHe is my absolute everything in my heart,\u201d the former Disney Channel star told fans in an Instagram comment at the time. On Valentine\u2019s Day<\/a>, Selena shared a picture with her record producer boyfriend, and wrote, \u201cI love you,\u201d across the fun selfie<\/a>. The couple was also seen making out while attending the 2024 Golden Globe Awards<\/a> and made headlines<\/a> for rocking matching pajamas during Nicola Peltz<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s sleepover birthday party in January.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Back when she was single in 2022, Selena opened up about her\u00a0thoughts on love<\/a> during an episode of Jay Shetty\u2019s<\/strong> On Purpose<\/em><\/a> podcast. \u201cI feel like giving myself completely to something is the best way I can love,\u201d the Rare Beauty founder said at the time. \u201cBut I never wanted the pain that I endured to put some sort of guard on myself \u2014 an armor if you will \u2014 and I never let that happen because I still believe and I still hope.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
