Pantera<\/a><\/strong> officially reunited (reactivated, reformed as a celebratory thing \u2013 whatever you wanna call it) in 2022. The band’s lineup includes classic Pantera<\/a><\/strong> vocalist Phil Anselmo<\/strong> and bassist Rex Brown<\/strong> alongside guitarist Zakk Wylde<\/strong> (Black Label Society<\/a><\/strong>, Ozzy Osbourne<\/a><\/strong>) and drummer Charlie Benante<\/strong> (Anthrax<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n Of course alongside the numerous Pantera<\/a><\/strong> shows come the question of potential new music. In an interview with Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk<\/em>, Wylde<\/strong> said he’s down as long as it’s not under the Pantera<\/a><\/strong> name.<\/p>\n “I think you would have to call it something else,” said Wylde<\/strong>. “You know what I mean? Pantera<\/a><\/strong> is those four guys. So, yeah, you can’t replace that.”<\/p>\n He added: “Yeah. If that was ever a bridge we crossed, we’d have to wait until we get there. But right now, it’s just the four of us celebrating what the [the classic Pantera<\/a><\/strong>] created.”<\/p>\n Wylde<\/strong> then clarified his stance, saying he’s down to make music with Anselmo<\/strong>, Brown<\/strong>, and Benante<\/strong>. Just not as Pantera<\/a><\/strong>\u2026 unless it was stuff that was already written when Dimebag<\/strong> and Vinnie Paul<\/strong> were still alive. Then it seems that the Pantera<\/a><\/strong> name is a go.<\/p>\n
