The Summer Slaughter Tour \u2013 arguably one of the most iconic traveling festival-type tours in all of extreme music \u2013 might be coming back. Or at least it’s weird that all of a sudden they’re posting again, asking fans if they should come back, and collaborating with Sumerian Records on Instagram.<\/p>\n
“is it time for the return?” wrote festival organizers in their first Instagram post in nearly three years. “there\u2019s three more years of these posters we can\u2019t even fit in this carousel\u2026 what was your favorite year from the ones above?”<\/p>\n
The post is a collaboration with Sumerian Records, which could mean anything \u2013 Sumerian bands will be on the next tour, Sumerian is a sponsor for the return, etc. All I know is that I think I might still be recovering from Summer Slaughter 2016.<\/p>\n
The Summer Slaughter Tour ran regularly between 2007 and 2019 and featured headlining spots from bands like Cannibal Corpse<\/a><\/strong>, The Black Dahlia Murder<\/a><\/strong>, Dying Fetus<\/a><\/strong>, Cattle Decapitation<\/a><\/strong>, Necrophagist<\/a><\/strong>, Decapitated<\/a><\/strong>, and way more. Here’s hoping this all means a return in 2024 or 2025!<\/p>\n
