Civerous<\/a><\/strong> is now streaming their death-doom-heavy new single “Shrouded In Crystals”, whose eight-minute runtime includes everything from cavernous riffs to an impressive solo from drummer Aidan Neuner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n “‘Shrouded In Crystals’ was the first song we wrote for the album, beginning the journey through the Maze, headed towards an overwhelming obsession in the center,” said Civerous<\/a><\/strong> of the single.<\/p>\n “It showcases the entire band, with a drum solo, individual bass break, cave diving guitar riffs, and brutal vocals. There’s even a guitar motif that some may notice in ‘Labyrinth Charm’ as well, an expression of songwriting talent from our guitarist Alonso Santana<\/strong>. We wanted to show the evolution of technicality within the band but still stay true to our death-doom origins.”<\/p>\n Civerous<\/a><\/strong> will release their 20 Buck Spin debut Maze Envy<\/em> on March 22. Maze Envy<\/em> was engineered, mixed, and produced by Andrew Solis<\/strong> (Apparition<\/strong>) at Deadstare Audio with additional engineering by Kevin McCombs<\/strong> at The Steakhouse, North Hollywood, and mastered by Nick Townsend<\/strong> at Infrasonic Sound.
