\u201cEat The Acid\u201d<\/p>\n
\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/iframe><!-- PRX PLAYER EMBED CODE ENDS --><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.keshaofficial.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kesha<\/a> is a singer and songwriter from Los Angeles. She put out <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tik_Tok_(song)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">her first song<\/a> in 2009, and it was a huge #1 hit in the US and 13 other countries. She\u2019s had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/kesha\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">10 top-ten singles on the Billboard charts<\/a>, and sold <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rca-records.co.uk\/artists\/kesha\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">millions of albums<\/a>. She got famous for songs that were about partying, and breaking the rules, and having fun. But this year, in May 2023, she put out the album <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gag_Order_(album)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gag Order,<\/a> <\/em> which is a lot more raw and vulnerable. She made it with superstar producer <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rick_Rubin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rick Rubin.<\/a> And for this episode, I talked to Kesha about her song <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Eat_the_Acid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u201cEat The Acid,\u201d<\/a> which she wrote early on in the pandemic.
