Shock Withdrawal<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 the band featuring vocalist Mitchell Luna<\/strong> (Noisear<\/a><\/strong>, ex-Maruta<\/a><\/strong>), guitarist and bassists Nick Emde<\/strong> (White Widows Pact<\/a><\/strong>), and drummer Jono Garret<\/strong> (Turbid North<\/a><\/strong>) \u2013 is now streaming their dizzying new single and video “Pain Absorption Threshold” from their debut record The Dismal Advance<\/em>.<\/p>\n “This is yet another DIY low budget music video that we put together ourselves,” said Luna<\/strong>. “It’s one of my personal favorite tracks off the record, so I felt like we had to do it justice visually.<\/p>\n “It was filmed with the help of our friend Justin Paul<\/strong>, but I directed and edited it myself. I’ve always been a fan of music videos since I grew up watching late night MTV in the mid 90’s, so I had to have some fun with creating this damn thing\u2026 and I did! I went the monochrome route with some twitchy graphics and static that was all created in After Effects. No AI imagery was used.<\/p>\n “We are all beyond stoked that the album has finally been released from its cage. We put a lot of effort into crafting it, and we are very proud with the results, which is what I feel matters most. This was made by death-grind weirdos, for death-grind weirdos. 21 minutes of blast beats and riffs. All gas no fucking brakes.
