Them Crooked Vultures<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 the band featuring Josh Homme<\/strong> of Queens Of The Stone Age<\/a><\/strong>, Dave Grohl<\/strong> of Foo Fighters<\/a><\/strong>, and John Paul Jones<\/strong> formerly of Led Zeppelin<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 released their self-titled debut album in 2009 and we’ve been waiting for a follow-up ever since. The closest we got to a Them Crooked Vultures<\/a><\/strong> reunion was at the Taylor Hawkins<\/strong>\u00a0tribute show on September 3, 2022 where the band played a Queens Of The Stone Age<\/a><\/strong> cover, an Elton John cover, and their own track “Gunman”.<\/p>\n So when is a full-on Them Crooked Vultures<\/a><\/strong> reunion happening? According to Homme<\/strong> during a Reddit AMA<\/a>, it’s up to Dave Grohl<\/strong>. Homme<\/strong> notes that there’s always a chance for a reunion, but it’s not exactly the biggest chance. Cue the Lloyd Christmas<\/strong> .gif<\/a>.<\/p>\n “On the subject of Vultures<\/a><\/strong>, it’s sort of not my job to put Vultures<\/a><\/strong> back together, that’s Dave<\/strong>‘s job. My job is to dance around the right words and try to write some music with the guys. I really want to, and Dave<\/strong> knows this too. I really want the Vultures<\/a><\/strong> to get back together and get the band back together and do one more round, because the band is so strange, the music is so strange, and sort of perverse.<\/p>\n “I don’t know, I had such a joyous time on those tours and being in that band and because the other guys are Dave Grohl<\/strong> and John Paul Jones<\/strong> [laughs], and it’s just really good, and so that playing is just so simple and you’re able to get into ideas right away and they just happen. And I don’t know, that is a bit addictive, that environment.<\/p>\n “So, is there any chance? Yeah. But I just like that it’s not up to me. I have other responsibilities there. So is there a chance? Yeah. There is. Is it a good chance? No.”<\/p>\n \n
