D\u00e5\u00e5th<\/a><\/strong> is back after 14 years with a brand new record named The Deceivers<\/em> due out May 3. The band is now streaming “Hex Unending” featuring a guitar solo from Dan Sugarman<\/strong> (Ice Nine Kills<\/a><\/strong>) and a music video directed by David Brodsky<\/strong> for My Good Eye: Music Visuals.<\/p>\n The album title is the continuation of a theme that began with 2007’s The Hinderers<\/em> and continued with 2009’s The Concealers<\/em>. “Those titles are about the outside world,” said guitarist and D\u00e5\u00e5th<\/a><\/strong><\/strong> mastermind Eyal Levi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n “They’re not about us. While they touch on the self-destruction and self-deception, we all occasionally fall victim to, this album is a scathing critique and exploration of certain societal elements. The deceivers and obstructers in life. Those who impede your progress through subterfuge and manipulation.”<\/p>\n The Deceivers<\/em> features an insane amount of guest guitar solos, including Jeff Loomis<\/strong> (ex-Nevermore<\/a><\/strong>, ex-Arch Enemy<\/a><\/strong>), Mark Holcomb<\/strong> (Periphery<\/a><\/strong>), Dean Lamb<\/strong> (Archspire<\/a><\/strong>), Per Nilsson<\/strong> (Scar Symmetry<\/a><\/strong>, ex-Meshuggah<\/a><\/strong>), Spiro Dussias<\/strong> (Platonist<\/strong>), and Sugarman<\/strong>. The Deceivers also features video game composer Mick Gordon<\/a><\/strong> (Doom Eternal<\/em>) contributing sound design and synth to “Purified By Vengeance.”<\/p>\n
