Looks like Ghost<\/a><\/strong> has something coming soon, but what is it? The band just took to social media to begin teasing what we’re guessing is a movie given the ending where it says “coming soon to cinemas worldwide.” We also know that Ghost<\/a><\/strong> has been plotting a movie, as Ghost<\/a><\/strong> mastermind Tobias Forge<\/strong> noted in a 2023 interview.<\/p>\n “We were essentially shooting a film,” said Forge<\/strong> at the time. “And we used two nights of crowds [from their two shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, CA] as extras\u2026 It’s going to be a film with a concert element. So a lot of what you experienced [at the two LA shows] is going to be part of this project.”<\/p>\n So stay tuned! Because there’s not much that you’re gonna glean from the below teaser\u2026 and who’s that woman standing by what looks like a subway entrance, anyway? Is that Sister Imperator<\/strong>?<\/p>\n It’ll also be interesting to see if this movie (or whatever it is) is the final time we see Papa Emeritus IV<\/strong>. According to Emeritus IV<\/strong> during Ghost<\/a><\/strong>‘s October 5, 2023 show at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia, that time on stage was his last.<\/p>\n “It’s a big night in so many ways,” said Emeritus IV<\/strong> between songs. “I’m going to let you accompany me, you can stay where you are and I’m going to go have a little bit of a drink over here. I know a lot of people are expecting some sort of explosion, implosion, a miracle where I just dissapear in favor of a successor.<\/p>\n “I’m going to take this ice cube and I’m going to put it down my pants. I usually don’t do that, but that is to make me feel a little bit better because now I’m focusing on that and not on you. Just in case you thought I was pissing myself, which I’m sure would have been the great finale. But you know what? This finale, it’s just going to be my last show, and I’m going to do my best to deliver that show to you and that would just have to be enough, okay?”<\/p>\n Ghost<\/a><\/strong> seems to have been hinting at the end of Emeritus IV<\/strong> for a little while now, but never came out and said it in such plain terms. Back in October 2022, Mr. Salterian<\/strong> said to Papa Emeritus IV<\/strong> midway through the band’s then-recent chapter of their story<\/a> that the “shows are scheduled, I KNOW when your time is up.” There was also a video back in February of this year where Saltarian<\/strong> is noticeably wheeling around a new casket<\/a> while Emeritus<\/strong> and Sister Imperator<\/strong> are talking.<\/p>\n \n
