Category 7<\/strong> is the new band featuring vocalist John Bush<\/strong> (Armored Saint<\/a><\/strong>, ex-Anthrax<\/a><\/strong>), guitarists Phil Demmel<\/strong> (Kerry King<\/a><\/strong>, ex-Vio-Lence<\/a><\/strong>) and Mike Orlando<\/strong> (Adrenaline Mob<\/a><\/strong>), bassist Jack Gibson<\/strong> (Exodus<\/a><\/strong>), and drummer Jason Bittner<\/strong> (Overkill<\/a><\/strong>, Shadows Fall<\/a><\/strong>). The band has already signed with Metal Blade Records and will release their debut album this Summer, with their first single to be unveiled on May 2.<\/p>\n “Mike Orlando<\/strong>‘s and Phil Demmel<\/strong>‘s awesome riffs made writing lyrics over the music a piece of cake,” said Bush<\/strong>. “The rhythm tandem of Bittner<\/strong> and Gibson<\/strong> rounded out the sound and the connection felt like it was put together in the stars. Obviously, everyone being a veteran of the metal scene made it that much easier.”<\/p>\n “Happy to welcome Category 7<\/strong> into the Metal Blade family,” added Metal Blade Records’ founder Brian Slagel<\/strong>. “Of course, some of them are already in! Seriously love working with this crew and it’s great stuff!”<\/p>\n
