Devin Townsend<\/a><\/strong> has teamed up with InsideOutMusic for a brand new pressing of his 2001 solo album Terria<\/em>, due out June 14. The new pressings including the bonus track “Universal” on vinyl for the very first time alongside an 8-page LP-booklet, new liner notes, and archive photo material. Pre-orders are available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n So that’s all Devin Townsend<\/a><\/strong> has going on right now, right? Hell no! First and foremost, Townsend<\/a><\/strong> was recently in the studio for a new project called Powernerd<\/strong>. According to Townsend<\/a><\/strong> in a recent video update, he gave himself 12 days to write the Powernerd<\/strong> songs, one day to rehearse, and two-and-a-half days to record. All we know is that Powernerd<\/strong> is “exceptionally heavy,” which is always good news when it comes to Townsend<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n “Powernerd<\/strong> was written with a very clear intent for me,” said Townsend<\/a><\/strong>. “I feel that I typically have been \u2014 and it’s not always been a bad thing \u2014 but I tend to overthink things a lot. And I get really complicated with things that sometimes\u2026 at least right now I felt like that wasn’t what I wanted to do, so I gave myself parameters for Powernerd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n “I gave myself twelve days to write it, and 1 day to rehearse it. Darby Todd<\/strong> came in from the UK and then two and a half days to track drums, bass and guitar. And if it was to not work it would have been a colossal failure. But I’m happy to say it’s exceptionally heavy, and exceptionally cool.”<\/p>\n Oh, and there’s new Casualties Of Cool<\/a><\/strong> in the works! Casualties Of Cool<\/a><\/strong> the collaboration between Devin Townsend<\/a><\/strong> and Ch\u00e9 Aimee Dorval<\/strong>, released their debut self-titled album in 2014, and is planning on bringing us all some more ambient country rock.<\/p>\n “Grateful to reconnect with Ch\u00e9 Aimee Dorval<\/strong> after all these years to start figuring out what the next album is about\u2026” wrote Townsend<\/a><\/strong> on his Instagram in a recent post.<\/p>\n “Remember these little nuggets?” added Dorval<\/strong>. “Heading off to Devin Townsend<\/a><\/strong>s today for a few days of writing the next Casualties<\/a><\/strong> record. So yes, it’s finally happening.”\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
