Yleisradio Oy (or the Finnish Broadcasting Company) is now streaming a brand new, six-part podcast series called The World’s Best Alexi Laiho<\/em>. The podcast explores Laiho<\/strong>‘s insane guitar playing alongside his personal struggles that sadly ended in tragedy.<\/p>\n The World’s Best Alexi Laiho<\/em> includes interviews with Laiho<\/strong>‘s bandmates, family, and friends, as well as Laiho<\/strong>‘s guitar idols like Kerry King<\/strong>, Steve Vai<\/strong>, and Zakk Wylde<\/strong>. The podcast was originally released in Finnish this past June, but has now received an English translation that you can find right here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Children Of Bodom<\/a><\/strong> was founded by Laiho<\/strong> and drummer Jaska Raatikainen<\/strong> in 1993 as Inearthed<\/strong>. The band enjoyed quite a bit of success over the years, sadly ending in 2019 with one last show at the Icehall in Helsinki named A Chapter Called Children of Bodom<\/em>.<\/p>\n Due to Raatikainen<\/strong>, bassist Henkka Sepp\u00e4l\u00e4<\/strong>, and keyboardist Janne Wirman<\/strong> owning the Children Of Bodom<\/a><\/strong> name, Laiho<\/strong> carried on as Bodom After Midnight<\/a><\/strong> with a new lineup. Laiho<\/strong> died in December 2020. According to the band’s remaining members, the final years of Children Of Bodom<\/a><\/strong> were difficult and involved a failed final tour and final album.
