Shifty Shellshock<\/strong> (real name: Seth Binzer<\/strong>), the vocalist of “Butterfly” hitmakers Crazy Town<\/a><\/strong>, died on June 24<\/a>. Yesterday, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Shellshock <\/strong>died of the combined effects of heroin, fentanyl and cocaine. <\/p>\n “The County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner determined the cause of death for 49-year-old singer-songwriter Seth Brooks Binzer<\/strong> as the effects of fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine,” the report<\/a> reads. “The manner of death is accident.”<\/p>\n “Seth Binzer<\/strong>, after struggling with addiction and Crazy Town<\/a><\/strong>‘s rapid success with ‘Butterfly,’ never was able to reach out on a more successful level to deal with his addictions,” his manager Howie Hubberman<\/strong> said in a statement to People<\/a><\/em>. “We all tried, but ultimately we all failed, or Shifty<\/strong> would still be here.<\/p>\n “The cause of death was a combination of prescription drugs and street purchased drugs. Shifty<\/strong> was a friend and really wanted to get himself fixed \u2014 unfortunately no one had the exact tools to do this, myself included.”<\/p>\n Addiction was a recurring struggle in Shellshock<\/strong>‘s life and he appeared on various shows like Celebrity Rehab <\/em>and Sober House<\/em>. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
